Maryam graduated from Sohar University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Law and holds a master’s degree in Private Law from Dhofar University.
Before joining A&CO, Maryam worked for over three years at a prominent local law firm, where she was responsible for the litigation department. Admitted to practice before the Omani courts, Maryam has the right of audience before the Primary Courts. She has gained extensive hands-on experience in handling a wide range of litigious matters, including commercial, criminal, labor, civil, and administrative legal proceedings. Her strong communication skills and ability to provide compelling pleadings have contributed to her success before the judiciary.
During those years, Maryam became well-versed in Omani court procedures, regularly preparing statements of claim, memorandums, and advising clients on employment disputes and unfair dismissal cases. She represents both employees and employers before the Ministry of Manpower, helping them reach resolutions before initiating court proceedings. Maryam is also experienced in drafting criminal complaints and navigating procedures with the Royal Oman Police and the Public Prosecution, ensuring smooth progress through the legal process.
At A&CO, Maryam leads the firm’s litigation department, overseeing all aspects of litigation from initial client consultations to courtroom representation. She is responsible for managing complex cases, ensuring effective legal strategies, and driving successful outcomes. Additionally, Maryam plays a key role in post-judgment enforcement within the Omani courts, ensuring that clients' interests are protected throughout the entire legal process.
